The Art of Cutie Quirks
The art of Cutie Quirks launched on August 15, 2021, as a creative project during the COVID-19 pandemic, initially focused on skill-building and exploring the NFT space. The concept behind these characters was that they had to be irresistibly cute, with oversized heads and signature hats that made them even more adorable. Combined with my 3D skills, Cutie Quirks was born, dancing in formation, waving arms, and nodding head.

The first batches of NFT releases sold out, attracting an international fan base and passionate collectors. This small community grew as the project evolved from NFTs to virtual toys in AR and eventually into handcrafted, 3D-printed collectibles. This transition was part of a larger initiative to bridge the digital and physical.

As interest in NFTs declined, the project on the NFT side was put on hold. However, the core goal remained the same to build a brand capable of producing high-quality vinyl toys and merchandise. The experience of creating 3D-printed collectibles was fascinating and challenging, especially given the logistical hurdles of being based in Australia. High production costs, expensive shipping, and long delivery made scaling unfeasible.

Despite these challenges, I have continued refining the project behind the scenes. Designing, experimenting, and reaching out to companies that can support its growth. While the local market for designer toys is small, I remain committed to expanding the brand and hope to bring it to a global audience.
